Biography

Bio

Professor Kyeremeh is an Organic Chemist by training. His area of specialization is marine invertebrate and microbial natural product drug discovery.
After his PhD at the University of Aberdeen in Scotland, UK, Professor Kyeremeh returned back home to Ghana to set up his own research group at the Department of Chemistry, UG. Since then Professor Kyeremeh has taught most of the courses in his department, as well as supervised a total of 5 PhDs, 18 Mphils and 42 Undergraduate project dissertations. Professor Kyeremeh was the first to pioneer marine and microbial natural product drug discovery in Ghana. He has won and successfully delivered 16 internationally recognised grants including the Royal Society-Leverhulme Trust Africa Award and the MRC/DFID/FCDO Africa Research Leaders-ARL Award amongst many. He has over 54 articles in many of the high impact Chemistry and Biochemistry journals including Nature.
